Being a hyper active child my parents put me in almost every sport possible to keep me busy. These sports ranged from team sports like soccer and football to individual sports such as wrestling, swimming and karate. During those years I was exposed so many types of coaches and coaching methods. Some were bad, some were great. I want to be that person that gives you the great side of coaching everyday with my staff. Just like how sports gave me life growing opportunities, I want to be able to give that back to my members and community. Let's laugh, cry, sweat, smile and grow together.
In 2012 I stopped collegiate wrestling due to several injuries I sustained from an accident before the big regional tournament. I lost all hopes about being a college athlete and just focused on my studies in film editing while becoming a wrestling coach at my alma mater not too long after. In summer of that year one of my wrestlers had mentioned to me about this cool exercise training program they saw across the street that I should check out since I was into fitness. I gave it a try and immediately was intrigued and in love with the training methods. Everything I learned from my fitness coaches I ended up teaching my wrestling team for their strength and conditioning. After 6 weeks of training them we retested all their lifts and assessments, they crushed them all and we celebrated that summer with lots of laughs, new personal records, and success on the mats. The excitement and success we all shared was a feeling I’d never forget, and in that moment I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life. I immediately changed my field of study the following semester to exercise science and fitness specialist. The rest is history.
We were given one life and one body. I want people to see the beauty of what they can achieve with the right guidance. Let's celebrate our health through proper nutrition, habits and exercise.
